Students’ Loan: Confirm Tuition Fees Payment, NELFUND Tells UNILORIN Students, 5 Other Institutions

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has asked applicants for the students’ loan from University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) to visit their institution to confirm the disbursement of tuition fees.

NELFUND also advised students from Bayero University, Kano; University of Benin (UNIBEN); University of Ibadan (UI); University of Maiduguri and Federal University Dutsinma who participated in the loan scheme to confirm payment at their respective institutions.

The agency disclosed this on Tuesday, stressing that the notice is directed at applicants between May 24 and July 17, 2024, with applications that have been approved as indicated on the loan dashboard.

“Please note that the disbursement of loans is being carried out in batches. Students who applied after the current disbursement window will have their loans processed and disbursed in subsequent batches,” NELFUND explained.

It assured all students that every approved loan will be disbursed transparently and in a timely manner.

“Furthermore, students from institutions not included in the current disbursement cycle, but whose loans have been approved, are also encouraged to exercise patience.

“Your loans will be disbursed in the upcoming batches,” the agency said – and reiterated its commitment to ensuring that every eligible student receives their funds.

It also encouraged all students to log in to their NELFUND portal to check the status of their application in order to stay informed about the disbursement process.
